Carbon Emissions

Although the coal found in Western Canada tends to burn cleaner than most other coals, because of its low sulfur content, it still produces a lot of carbon emissions (Alberta Energy, 2007). Coal production is actually the largest contributor of man-made CO2 into the atmosphere (Environmental effects of coal, n.d.).
